Khan Medical is an Independent Medical Practice that provides comprehensive General Medical and Primary Care services to patients age 13 and older. The practice was first established in 1998 in Wilkinsburg, PA and has now grown to additional three more locations in Monroeville, Elizabeth and Natrona Heights in Pennsylvania.
At Khan Medical, we are committed to excellence by providing timely and quality medical care to our patients using latest technology and diagnostic tools. We not only provide primary care services at four office locations in Pittsburgh, but we also provide continuity of care to our patients when they are admitted with acute or chronic conditions to a local hospital or a skilled nursing facility. Dr. Khan and his Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners have full active admitting privileges to manage all their patients at the hospitals of both UPMC and West Penn Allegheny Health system.
Dr. Khan is a board certified Internist who completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Shadyside Hospital in 1996. He then went on to complete his Masters Degree in Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2002 with “highest distinction”. He has been serving as Voluntary Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and has been actively involved with teaching and training of Medical Students, Medical Residents, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students.
The practice also employs a physician assistant, Shahnaz Jagiello. This physician extender manages new and existing patients in the offices and also make rounds under Dr. Khan’s supervision at the hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Dr. Khan has been serving as the Chairman of Department of Medicine at UPMC East since 2014 and Medical Director of the Village at Pennwood skilled nursing facility. He also served as a Medical Director of Three River Hospice and Odyssey Hospice.
Our offices are conveniently located and are accessable by public transport. Our patients not only recieve diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the office, but also have access to diagnostic procedures like EKG, Breathing treatments, Spirometry, Holter monitoring, CV Profile and 24 hour Ambulatory BP monitoring. For the convineance of our patients we also provide blood draw / phlebotomy service to our patients. We regularly provide education to our patients with chronic ailments like Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart and Lung Disease. Due to our relationship with the Pharmaceutical companies, we are able to distribute free medication samples to our patients who do not have health insurance or cannot afford them because of high deductables and copayments.
